If you think it is not exactly the same please explain why. Even 8-year-old children are expected to be able to discriminate between what's realistic and what isn't relevant to the world they live in. Those who don't are the rare axceptions who are usually mentally challenged or just plain stupid. So, i agree you shouldn't read the bible, Harry Potter or, in fact, any book that doesn't completely correspont to the modern society to your children if they are really stupid.
